This Melrose landscape was overgrown with invasive species, weeds, and neglected shrubs and trees. The homeowners knew that they needed to clean out the space but also understood that they would have a steep slope, too sheer and unsteady to leave alone. We installed a series of retaining walls containing the steep slope that created a beautiful rock garden with Hydrangeas, and a mix of Japenese Anenome and Astiblle, marrying function and beauty seamlessly.
